(capacity: 35 people / minimum: 15 people / First come, first served)
Just a 3-minute walk to the starting gate!
We offer great convenience with our package tour featuring a direct round-trip bus from Asahikawa Station to the venue, plus accommodation at the nearby the Venue, “Yama no Ie”.
Since this event is held in a rural area, it is difficult to reach the venue without a car, whether it’s your own or a rental. To make it easier for participants from outside Hokkaido to attend, we offer a round-trip bus tour from Asahikawa to the venue with an overnight stay. This is a convenient option, especially for those arriving in Hokkaido via Asahikawa Airport or New Chitose Airport. This service is also available to participants within Hokkaido, so please take advantage of it!
The day before the race, you can stay at “Yama no Ie,” which is located just 300 meters from the start gate, so access is excellent! We believe many participants will appreciate having plenty of time to prepare at their own pace on the day of the event. This will be particularly beneficial for the 60K participants whose race starts at 4:00 a.m.
*Please note: We do not sell accommodations at Yama no Ie separately. If a tour participant can’t get on the bus or doesn’t use the bus, they can still stay at Yama no Ie. But we can’t give them their bus fare back.
Exclusive benefits for tour participants:
- Pre-racer check-in on the day before the event
While athlete registration is usually only held on the day of the event, only tour participants can racer check-in at Yama no Ie on Saturday, 25 July. This means you can relax at Yama no Ie until just before the pre-race briefing. This is particularly advantageous for the 60 km participants, whose check-in is scheduled for 2:30–3:30 am, as it means you can rest right up until the last minute. - Free use of showers at ‘Yama no Ie’ after finishing
There are no freely accessible water sources at the venue, which has been a major inconvenience after races. While Yama no Ie, where participants stay the night before, has bathing facilities, we were previously unable to use them on the race day due to a lack of permission.
This year, we have obtained permission to use them for a fee. However, tour participants can use the showers after finishing at no additional cost. - Baggage check-in at the venue
This service was available last year and will be offered again this year.

The “Yu-yu juku” lodging facility has just opened in Shirataki!
We are pleased to offer an exclusive accommodation option for DTJ 2026 participants and supporters.
One factor that makes accessing this event difficult is the limited availability of lodging near the venue. However, a new lodging facility opened in the Shirataki area at the end of March. Around the date of the 2026 Daisetsuzan Trail Journey, we will take reservations exclusively for participants and their supporters.
Since we do not arrange transportation, this plan is intended for those who can reach the area by private or rental car. We can offer reservations for two days: July 25 (the day before the race) and July 26 (race day).
This plan is for people who are joining the DTJ 2026, and it is also recommended for people who want to explore Engaru and Shirataki after the race or hike (again) in the Northern Daisetsuzan Mountains the day after the event.
