Urgent change to the course
- Because of the bad weather, which included continuous rain starting the day before the event on July 19, and poor visibility due to clouds and strong winds over 15 meters per hour in the mountain areas, we changed the course two times before the start.
- As of the evening of July 19, we had planned to implement Plan B, which involved cutting the Hirayama Ridge section. However, by the time the 60K start was scheduled for July 20, conditions in the Tengu-dake area had worsened and were not expected to improve. So, we decided to proceed with Plan C, which involves cutting all mountain sections.
- As a result, athletes will receive ITRA 2 points for each 40K and 60K race.
