We’re preparing applications for the 2025 Daisetsuzan Trail Journey.
The registration fee has increased. We apologize for the increased burden due to recent cost increases and the need to prepare.
At the 2024 event, many participants pointed out the inadequacies of the food, drink, merchandise, etc., so we will use the funds to make improvements. The 2025 event will be similar to previous years, with two new events: the 40km Pair, where two people attempt a 40km course together, and the 60km Pair Relay, where two people team up for a 60km course.
The 40km Pair entry fee is the same as for a solo entry, but the 60km Pair Relay is less expensive.
Entry period / Early bird discount
For those living in Japan, entries will open on Sports Entry on Wednesday, January 8, 2025.
The final entry deadline is Friday, June 20, 2025, one month before the event, but the early entry period runs from the start of entry until March 31, 2025, and you can apply at a discount. If you can decide early, we recommend you apply during this period.

How do I get to the venue from Asahikawa other than by rental car?
It is not possible to get to the venue by public transportation. For those who cannot drive, one option might be to use a chartered taxi.
Unfortunately, there don’t seem to be many companies that accept advance bookings in English via their websites. The companies below are all based in the Sapporo area, but they all offer private taxi tours throughout Hokkaido.
Hokkaido Resort Liner (Hokkaido Access Network)
Hokkaido Alphard Sightseeing Taxi (Grandresort)
An example of a chartered taxi schedule offered by a taxi company in Asahikawa is https://www.veltra.com/jp/japan/hokkaido/furano/a/179363 (only listed on the Veltra Japanese website).
Alternatively, you may be able to book a taxi through the hotel where you are staying.
