Early bird discount ends on Monday, March 31st!

The final registration deadline is June 20th, but there is an early bird discount period set up for the entire month of March.

You can register for about 20-30 USD less, so we recommend that those who plan to participate register by Monday, March 31st.

I know some people are still a bit far from being able to make plans because it’s still a while away, and the entry fee isn’t cheap either. Everything has recently gone up in price, which is annoying, but unfortunately, everything related to the event’s management has also gone up in price, and this year’s price has also gone up from last year.

I’m going off topic here, but the course for this event is the best in Hokkaido for trail running races. In fact, I’m proud to say that the atmosphere and scenery of the course, which is unique to the remote areas of Hokkaido, and the high level of satisfaction and fulfillment you feel when you finish running, are second to none!

This is an excerpt from the rules.

The Organizing Committee prepares the course and the rescue and medical systems to ensure a certain level of safety during the race. We will not do any course maintenance that prioritizes making the course easier for people to run, as this could lead to the destruction of mountain trails and nature.

Due to the nature of trail running as a sport and as a concept of this event, we believe it is important to provide the experience of running through the nature of Daisetsuzan. Please be aware that there are risks involved in competitions held in nature, and you participate in the event at your own risk in case of injury or illness during the competition.

This is how we have explained our approach to maintaining the course.
Last year, there were thick patches of bamboo that made the course difficult to see, and we cleared some of this away last fall.We are planning to do some additional maintenance before this year’s race, but we do not plan to do excessive maintenance (aimed at making it possible to run) beyond what is necessary to ensure safety.

We will provide guidance on the right equipment for the course.
